Guest Speaker: Rev Andy Kerr – Managing Chaplain HMP Ford Prison
Andy has worked for His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service for the last 13 years in Category B,C and D Prisons. His role has bought him into contact with a broad spectrum of people who have often committed some of the most serious offences in the UK. Working within this context he embraces the Luke 4 Manifesto and experiences what he calls ‘the slow miracle of Gods healing’ upon many prisoners’ lives.
Prior to working in Prison Andy led a few Baptist Churches, was Chaplain in 2 Secondary Schools, delivered cars nationwide and worked with children with emotional and behavioural difficulties. He is married to Traz who spent 34 years working in the NHS, most recently as Manager of West Sussex Sexual Health Service. Together they have 2 adult children and a rather old and dilapidated Irish Red Setter called Finley.
