Healing in the Psalms reflects on a selection of Psalms that lead us into a deeper understanding of God that can inspire and encourage us in our own lives. It looks at how a new sense of faith and trust can be built up and how this can provide healing of body, mind and spirit. We explore the more familiar psalms but also the less well known to glean from them insights that make for wholeness and renewal.
This retreat caters not only for those seeking a deeper understanding of the subject but also provides a time away in a relaxed and informal atmosphere of comfort and peace to restore and renew us in body, mind and spirit.
The retreat begins on Friday with welcomes and introductions at 3.45pm but you are welcome to arrive any time after 2.00pm. The weekend is taken up with reflections on the theme, daily worship centred around the Psalms and the weekend concludes with a Communion Service with anointing on the Sunday morning.
During the weekend there is time to explore the gardens and grounds or to go for a walk in the surrounding countryside. There is a fully equipped art room for you to enjoy and the lounge and library also provide comfortable places for your own relaxation.
Numbers taking part are usually limited to about 16 to give plenty of opportunity for personal space and reflection.
