Healing in the Gospels Jesus promises to bring healing to all those who seek Him and His ways. During the weekend we revisit the more familiar accounts of healing in the Gospels but also explore the less well-known ones, to glean from them insights that make for wholeness and renewal. We look at all the healing aspects of Jesus ministry, the circumstances surrounding His healing actions and how people reacted to them. We explore what this means for us in the context of today's world.
This retreat caters not only for those seeking a deeper understanding of the subject but also provides a time away in a relaxed and informal atmosphere of comfort and peace to restore and renew us in body, mind and spirit.
The retreat begins on Friday with welcomes and introductions at 3.45pm but you are welcome to arrive any time after 2.00pm. The weekend is taken up with reflections and daily worship centred on the theme, and concludes with a Communion Service with anointing on the Sunday morning.
During the weekend there is time to explore the gardens and grounds or to go for a walk in the surrounding countryside. There is a fully equipped art room for you to enjoy and the lounge and library also provide comfortable places for your own relaxation.
Numbers taking part are usually limited to about fifteen to give plenty of opportunity for worthwhile sharing and prayer.
