Appointment of our new Senior Chaplain
The Board of Trustees are pleased to announce the appointment of Reverend Kath Batte as Senior Chaplain. She takes up her position in March.
Kath will be well known to many of you who visit the Centre. She has been Deputy Senior Chaplain for nearly three years, prior to which she was a Visiting Chaplain for two years.
Ordained in 1994, Kath served as a Curate and Associate Priest in Newcastle and Southwell Dioceses, and for six years as Priest in Charge at Christchurch, Cinderhill, Nottingham. For two years she was Bishop’s Chaplain to self-supporting ministers in Southwell Diocese. She is married and has two grown-up children.
One of Kath’s important tasks will be to build up the Chaplaincy Team responsible for leading worship and undertaking personal ministry at the Centre.
